Community Partner

Attached is the June 2026 calendar for the NorthStar Family Resource Center. Below are highlights of a few upcoming events:

·       Community Walk: We invite community members and partners to join us for a morning walk every Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM to promote health and wellness.

·       Panera Bread and Pastry Giveaway: Bread and pastries will be distributed to the community every Tuesday at 9:30 AM on a first-come, first-served basis.

·        Wednesday Clothes Giveaway: Join us at the NorthStar Family Resource Center on Wednesdays, June 10th and 24th, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for our Clothes Giveaway.

·       Buy Nothing Clothes/Garage Sale: Join us at the NorthStar Family Resource Center on Saturday, June 13th and 24th, from 9:00 am—12:00 noon for our Community Buy Nothing Clothes/Garage Sale.    

·       DCF Hope Florida Navigator: DCF Hope Navigators will be available on-site every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

·       OB/GYN Mobile Free Clinic: On June 11th and 25th, UF Health will provide free OB/GYN services, including prenatal care, postpartum exams, pap smears, breastfeeding classes, and birth control. ·       Opioid Community Vigil for Awareness and Support: NorthStar Family Resource Center will host a vigil to remember those who have lost their lives to opioid misuse and those who are currently struggling on June 23, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Olustee Park, 169 N. Marion Avenue, Lake City. This candlelight event aims to combine collective mourning with community action, creating a supportive, stigma-free environment to honor the deceased and support those still fighting their battles. Faith leaders, service providers, family members, and all who care are encouraged to join us with candles, prayers, and love.
